About Me…
Qualifications & Professional Development
I have an Honours Degree in Psychology from Deakin University and over 15 years’ experience working in various community services and government roles with children, young people, adults, and families, and as a hypnotherapist in private practice for nearly 10 years. I have continued training extensively throughout my career with a focus on the following:
Counselling and interviewing techniques
Child development, behaviour, and trauma
Supporting survivors of sexual assault and family violence
Substance use and addiction
Mental illness
Body image and eating behaviours and disorders
I’m certified as a practitioner with the Australian Centre For Eating Behaviours (ACFEB) (previously ACFED)
I have a current Working With Children Check (WWCC), Police Check, and First Aid Level 2 certification.
Hypnotherapy Training & Registration
In 2015-2016, I successfully completed training in clinical hypnotherapy with the Australian Academy of Hypnotic Science, a government accredited hypnotherapy training provider. This training included several assessments and many hours of practice outside of school hours as a registered student hypnotherapist.
As a qualified clinical hypnotherapist, I am a professional clinical member of the Australian Association of Clinical Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy (AACHP) which is registered with the Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA) - Australia’s peak body for hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy is an unregulated profession which means that anyone can call themselves a hypnotherapist, training or no training. Only those who’ve completed a government accredited course with comprehensive and approved training, and who continue their training throughout their practice, can join a professional association. An accredited hypnotherapist must apply yearly to continue their membership, and must meet specific criteria for this to continue to be granted.
By choosing an accredited hypnotherapist, you can be confident that you’re choosing someone who is well-trained to assist you.

To find out if I could be the right therapist for you, I offer a free 10 minute consultation.
Please note: I no longer do weight loss hypnotherapy. Weight loss can occur as a part of addressing certain emotional issues and eating behaviours, but it is not guaranteed and won’t be the primary goal of therapy if you choose to work with me.
